Beat juggling
How to do beat juggling?
Beat juggling is the modification of one rhythm to create another.
Often the same two vinyls will be used on each turntable which allows to create loops.
You can also speed up or slow down the rhythm without changing the speed of the vinyl.
All kinds of rhythms can be created from a single rhythm or from two different ones.
It is after having mastered some scratching techniques that this practice becomes possible.
Here is an example where a very short part of the rhythm is repeated creating a whole new rhythm.
There is no limit to how creative you can be as long as it looks like a structured rhythm.
It is with both hands that you will have to manipulate the vinyls.
A practice with one deck and then the other will surely be a plus to start with.
The ideal is to be ambidextrous but this is not the case for everyone.
